IQID: 12893 - March 2016

VideoLAN VLC media player is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds when processing .mp4 files. By persuading a victim to open a specially-crafted .mp4 file, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause a denial of service.
